Your child is not ready for Orthodontic treatment
yet, but we do recommend continued appointments in Pre-Orthodontic
Guidance Recall/Observation program. We feel very strongly about
the necessity of following dental development and have found
quite often, if Orthodontic treatment is started at the appropriate
time, treatment costs, length, and discomfort can be reduced.
We will re-examine your child on a periodic basis and explain
our recommendations. These visits are a courtesy to our families
and are done at no charge. Any necessary photos or x-rays needed
in our office, or future checkup visits with us are also done
as a courtesy service to you until the point when treatment is
determined to be necessary.
We will continue to watch at 6 month intervals to make sure
that baby teeth are falling out when they should, permanent teeth
have available room to erupt and any bite related problems are
not getting worse.
We want to stay ahead of any developing dental problems and
watch growth so that we can intercept any dental or jaw growth
problems before they get too complicated. In addition, we would
like to be able to communicate with your General Dentist about
your child’s future dental needs.
At this point we see the Orthodontic problems are significant
enough to take care of, the Doctor will determine a treatment
plan.
We will schedule an appointment for 6 months from now so we
can be sure that everything is growing properly! Our appointment
secretary will send you a reminder card as the appointment time
gets closer.

age.

- Enables us to support
the patient’s general care
